Industrial Electrician
Complete Building Services supports over 100 facilities in the Washington DC Area.
We have a Master Electrician role opening to join one of our large (million
square foot) facilities right in the heart of Washington DC.
While this is a secure facility, you do not need a secret clearance.
You must be able to successfully complete an Architect of the Capital background check upon accepting our position.
The position hours are from 8:
30pm to 5:
00am Monday-Friday.
Must be flexible for overtime and fill-in as needed.
The Master Electrician will work with a variety of standard industrial electrical devices, equipment and systems, including electrical wiring systems and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment in the facility.
The electrician shall have the ability to install, assemble, trouble shoot, modify, repair, and maintain routine and standard electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.
The electrician shall have the ability to test equipment by use of ammeters, voltmeter, meg-ohmmeters, and other testing equipment.
The electrician shall independently work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals.
The electrician shall also plan and layout trades work which includes, but is not limited to, measuring, cutting, routing, placement, type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity, and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment, and controls.
You Should Have Here is what we are looking for:
Must possess a current and valid Master Electrician license; Must have not less than three (3) years of experience obtained within the past five (5) years as a licensed journeymen level electrician in a single building of comparable size, type, and complexity; Shall have completed vocational and technical training in electrical maintenance and service work; Must possess an ability to identify common causes of electrical failures; Must possess an ability to work on and with PDU, UPS, and Switchgear Must possess an ability to coordinate effective PM scheduling; Must possess an ability to establish routine testing procedures; Must possess an ability to apply PM strategies and techniques such as RCM, RMP, and Root cause failure analysis; Must possess an ability to meet project deadlines on-time; Must possess an ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work as required; A demonstrated working knowledge of electrical systems and an ability to understand and utilize electrical drawings is required; Must possess an ability to work independently, as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills.
