This team is part of the On-Demand Finance (ODF) group and owns the model implementation of the Net Interest Income & Sensitivity, Valuation, and Funds Transfer Pricing modeling/forecasting capabilities in the company's risk management platforms.
We are looking for a driven individual who can closely collaborate with peers to understand various financial modeling use cases and processes.
In addition, we are looking for an individual with strong communication and analytical skills who can quickly understand existing models and new requirements/business needs.
This associate will play a role in ongoing transformation of models and processes, fulfilling the team's desire to become an industry leader in operational efficiency.
Responsibilities Include:
Own and execute monthly ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and General Ledger reconciliation process in support of Balance Sheet Management teamLeverage the latest open source technologies and tools to develop/maintain financial models by identifying areas of opportunity in our existing frameworkDevelop cloud-compatible automation and process improvements solutions for core processes across the teamIntegrate new technologies and analysis into decision-making frameworksLearn to design, test, and implement changes in various models and systems based on external business requirements and internal modeling needsPrepare presentations and meeting materials for non-specialist audience and senior managementSupport the development of a well-controlled framework to manage modeling for interest rate risk management and financial forecastingPartner closely with the IT team to develop automated solutions for our processesMaintain the efficiency and accuracy of our model implementations through continuous improvement and application of best practicesDevelop and maintain high quality and transparent documentationBasic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or military experienceA' A' At least 1 year of experience with financial models, data analysis, or a combinationAt least 1 year of experience working with coding languages of Python, R, SQL, or a combinationA' Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics2
years of experience working in Asset Liability Management (ALM) or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)Experience working Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools (ie Tableau and Birst), Agile development methodologies, and Amazon Web ServicesChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Finance Risk Management (FRM) certificationAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
